We used to say “There’s no pictures on the scorecard” before camera phones. Now I think for most the pictures are the scorecard. But it’s the work that goes on when no one’s looking that consumes most of our lives. You can focus on long days or stressful moments or see the life that drives us. Lunch with bae, planning future fishing trips, respooling fresh braid, trips to the tackle store. So much goes on behind the catches or the brands we see on the web it can be easy to forget we are all just people trying to make the best of whatever we got. Big or small, rich or poor, it’s the little things. The road is long… if you’re lucky.

Learning how to properly log and remember what happened on the water is KEY for data collection and future reference. It really is the thing can elevate an anglers success the fastest. Logging variables will make you remember things as you go you already forgot and it could be the same day! It also makes you want to record more things and while it may not seem like it pays off at first, if you plan on fishing for more than a year of your life…. Properly recording what you do on the water WILL lead you to become a better angler. Just facts my boy

I was looking through my phone to post something today and scrolled back to my first pic in the cloud. This was it. Very first. I’ve learned over the years “do something productive” is a relative term. Doing a little better each day usually isn’t ENOUGH but sometimes it has to be. I still have this thought everyday even after I work all day but switched the narrative. It’s more like “get up and go be a part of life!” Sometimes along the way to reach our perceived success we forget that the best part of life is the path we walk to get there.

Getting the Ramble set up for retail has been a long process. Even the packaging threw a curve ball. What hasn’t been an issue is the way it catches fish. Even the little guys get the hook. I go and breakdown video coming later today.
